Favorite Green Smoothie Recipes For Beginners

Green Smoothies For Beginners

Are you new to green smoothies? Are you hesitant to put spinach in your blender?

I remember the first time I watched my smoothie turn bright green as it was whirling away in my blender. I was convinced that it would taste like liquid spinach.

In fact, it took me a couple minutes to work up the courage to take a sip – and it was delicious! There was absolutely NO spinach flavor. It didn’t taste like dirt at all. It tasted like my favorite fruit combination – bananas and strawberries!

It was my very first green smoothie, and I recommend this recipe to every single person who is trying them for the very first time.

Your First Green Smoothie

Here are three of my favorite beginners smoothies! Grab your blender and add the following (in this order):

Simply Strawberry-Banana Green Smoothie

  • 6-8 ounces water
  • 1 large banana, peeled
  • 4-5 large strawberries, fresh or frozen
  • 2 cups (or small handfuls) of fresh baby spinach
  • 1 or 2 ice cubes (optional)

Directions: Once all of your green smoothie ingredients are in your blender pitcher, put the lid on and blend on high for 30-60 seconds, or until your smoothie is creamy and there are no chunks.

There are hundreds more green smoothie recipes where these came from!
